Intrepid Metals Corp. (TSXV: INTR; OTCQB: IMTCF) is a well-funded exploration company focused on advancing a portfolio of high-quality copper, gold and silver projects in southeastern Arizona, one of North America’s most established mining jurisdictions. The Company’s flagship Corral Copper Project offers exposure to a large and underexplored mineralized system with both near-surface carbonate replacement deposit (“CRD”) mineralization and compelling porphyry copper-gold potential at depth.
Corral is located in Cochise County, approximately 25 kilometres northeast of the historic Bisbee mining district. Historical exploration and Intrepid’s drilling have identified extensive copper-gold-silver mineralization across an area approximately 3.5 kilometres long and 1.5 kilometres wide. Highlight results include 112.95 metres grading 1.50% copper, 0.53 g/t gold and 8.22 g/t silver, including 63.40 metres grading 2.57% copper, 0.91 g/t gold and 14.14 g/t silver. These results demonstrate the scale, grade and continuity of the CRD-style mineralization while highlighting the potential for further discoveries across the broader property.
Intrepid believes the extensive CRD mineralization identified at Corral may be associated with a larger porphyry system at depth. The Company is applying modern geophysics, geological modelling and systematic drilling to refine and test this district-scale opportunity while continuing to expand the known near-surface mineralization.
The quality and potential of Corral have been further validated by Teck Resources Limited, Intrepid’s largest shareholder and an active participant on the Company’s technical committee.
In addition to Corral, Intrepid holds the Tombstone South and Mesa Well projects, providing further exposure to copper, gold and silver discovery opportunities in a highly prospective region.
