Nicola Mining Inc. (TSX.V: NIM) is a public resource mining company with a successful management and board experienced in consolidating and unlocking asset value. The Company’s portfolio consists of high-potential assets:
New Craigmont Exploration Property – comprised of 22 mineral tenures, 10 mineral leases with a contiguous total area of 10,913 owned 100% by the Company. This copper-magnetite asset had a prolific production history, but depressed copper prices in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s lead to its shutdown. In 1982, both the underground and open pit mining were placed into care and maintenance. The Company continues to build its technical team to re-evaluate the projects copper potential. Recent milestones include the development of an inferred copper only resource on some of the waste material adjacent to the Historic Open Pit (please then refer to the technical report listed below), the integration of multiple historic datasets and development of an integrated pipeline approach to exploration.
Merritt Mill and Tailings Facility – over $30.0 million invested in acquiring land and construction modern mill facility, which is adjacent to highway transportation and located near Merritt BC. Company owns the approximate 900-acre property free-hold and has milling agreements in place.
Treasure Mountain Exploration Property – Wholly-owned project Southern BC silver project is comprised of 51 mineral tenures comprising 21 legacy claims, 100 cell units and five Crown Grants for a total of approximately 2,850 hectares. This high-grade silver/lead/zinc vein deposit has had sporadic exploration and development since 1894, with the most recent production occurring in 2013. Recent evaluation of the property demonstrated high-grade silver veins (link to technical report). The mining infrastructure and permitting is maintained such that the mine may be re-entered pending silver price recovery. Recent exploration on the property has shown a mineralized sub-parallel structure to that exposed in the underground mine.
