About Fury Gold Mines
Fury Gold Mines is a Canadian-focused gold exploration company strategically positioned in three prolific mining regions: James Bay, Quebec; the Kitikmeot Region Nunavut; and the Golden Triangle, British Columbia.
Our vision is to deliver shareholder value by aggressively growing our multi-million ounce gold portfolio through additional significant gold discoveries in Canada.
Fury Gold Mines was formed in 2020 following Auryn Resources Inc.’s reorganization and acquisition of Eastmain Resources Inc. Our core values are trust, respect, integrity and accountability. We actively engage with internal and external stakeholders in a transparent and honest manner, holding ourselves to the highest – safety, governance and business – standards.
In the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region of Quebec Fury has interest 11 projects covering 113,000 hectares. Fury’s flagship project in the region is the 100% owned high-grade gold Eau Claire project, which is situated on over 24,000 hectares. Eau Claire is one of five known deposits in the region with the largest of these, the Newmont-owned Éléonore mine, located 57 kilometres (km) north of the Eau Claire project. The Eau Claire project hosts a measured and indicated mineral resource of 853,000 ounces at a grade of 6.18 g/t Au and an inferred mineral resource of 500,000 ounces at a grade of 6.53 g/t Au. Fury is in the midst of an ongoing 50,000m drill campaign at Eau Claire designed to expand the deposit beyond the limits of the 2019 PEA as well as explore along the 4.5 km long deposit trend.
Fury owns a 38.12% interest in the Eleonore Sount JV project, Newmont owns 38.11% and Azimut Exploration owns the remaining 23.77%. It is located in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region of Quebec adjacent to Newmont’s Eleonore mine property, which hosts the +5 million ounce Roberto gold deposit. Fury is currently the operator of the Joint Venture and is looking to advance several regional targets to drill stage.
Five other projects 100% held by Fury in the region are at various stages of greenfield exploration.
The four remaining projects have been optioned to third parties whom are currently conducting exploration work to fulfill the option requirements.
