The NL Minerals Collective’s commitment to sustainable mining practices, diversity, inclusion and transparency, along with their vision of fostering long-term economic growth and development in NL, and their wide-ranging mineralization and geographical coverage, all contribute to enhancing the collective’s appeal to a diverse set of investors. These combined factors make the collective a reliable avenue for investment in the NL mining sector.
Newfoundland Appleton Trend Gold Project
The Newfoundland Appleton Trend Gold Project is located in a prime gold mining region within the Appleton fault corridor, characterized by Fosterville mine-style high-grade structurally controlled epizonal gold. The property spans over 20,000 acres (8,100 hectares), adjacent to major gold players and near the main New Found Gold (NFG) exploration area. It’s just 500 m from the key NFG Keats Zone discovery and 1 km from the Exploits Discovery Corp Bullseye Project. The project features seven gold targets with impressive grades, including Tibbey’s Point with grades up to 47.4 g/t and The Slip with grades up to 44 g/t. This strategic location and high-grade gold targets make this project a significant opportunity in the thriving gold mining industry.
St. Lewis REE Project
Located in the heart of Southeastern Labrador, the St. Lewis REE project offers an exciting investment opportunity with 141 claims bordering the Search Minerals Inc. 64 km long St. Lewis-Port Hope Simpson CREE District. This strategic position in the middle of a REE district play provides significant potential for the exploration and development of critical rare earth elements. Easy access from St. Lewis facilitates exploration and mining operations. Preliminary data indicates suggests the potential for a high yield of a variety of critical REE minerals.
Pants Lake Nickel-Copper-Cobalt Project
The Pants Lake Nickel-Copper-Cobalt Project’s geological similarities to Voisey’s Bay, expansive exploration potential, substantial land area, multiple intrusions, and high-grade nickel and copper intersections all enhance its investment potential. The property spans approximately 7,300 acres (3,000 hectares) and consists of several intrusions (South, Mineral Hill, Worm and North). The Pants Lake property showcases layered, fine-grained olivinegabbro and massive coarse-grained leucogabbro formations, along with minor but important Melagabbro and peridotite forms and shows evidence of sulphidic pelitic rock assimilation. Recent drilling results have demonstrated impressive concentrations of up to 11.7% nickel and 9.7% copper in drill hole intersections.
Popes Hill REE Project
The Popes Hill REE Project, spanning over 3,600 acres (close to 1,500 hectares), offers a significant investment opportunity in rare earth elements (REE). The project is conveniently accessible via the Trans Labrador Highway and close to Happy Valley-Goose Bay’s airport, seaport and other facilities. High P2O5 values in fifteen samples, up to 11.6%, confirm substantial REE mineralization, primarily in apatite. Detailed drill core hyperspectral analysis and Sentinel-2 satellite analysis provide a comprehensive overview of key target areas. Further hyperspectral drone analysis is planned for fall 2023, promising more detailed insights into mineral composition and distribution.
Manuels Gold Project
The Manuels Gold Property, located in the prolific Eastern Newfoundland’s Avalon Zone, is a low-sulphidation, epithermal gold asset strategically positioned along a significant mineral-rich trend known for its gold mineralization. Conveniently located just 3 km south of Conception Bay South and adjacent to Trinity Resources’ pyrophyllite deposit, the property benefits from excellent infrastructure, including transmission lines, multiple road and trail access points, and proximity to a seaport. The property hosts a variety of gold mineralization, predominantly within felsic volcanics. The geology showcases typical characteristics of a shallowly eroded, volcanic-hosted, low-sulphidation epithermal Au-Ag mineral system. Particularly noteworthy are the quartz-adularia veins, which exhibit varying degrees of hematite alteration and yield the most favorable gold grades. Elevated silver concentrations in soil further accentuate the property’s substantial mineral potential. With nearly $500,000 invested in exploration activities to date, including a drill campaign in 2020-2021, the property is in good standing until 2031.
St. Julien’s Copper Project
The St. Julien’s Copper Project is a promising investment opportunity with potential for a major copper deposit. Extensive sampling efforts have shown substantial copper resources, with channel samples revealing a significant copper grade of 2.91% over 14.5 meters. Grab samples across a 535-meter strike length yielded values up to 22.5%. The project features six showings over approximately 4 km. The historic Copper Cod mine shaft demonstrated copper values exceeding 10,000 ppm Cu and around 80 tons of ore were shipped from the site, underscoring its previous productivity. Two locations, Coppermine Point and St. Julien’s #1, have shown particularly high copper concentrations of up to 13% and 15.8% respectively. St. Julien’s #1 also showed 7.88 grams per ton (g/t) of silver, indicating potential valuable by-products. St. Julien’s #2 exhibited a copper grade of 11.6%, while St. Julien’s #3 and #4 yielded copper contents of 5.80% and 7.80% respectively, with the latter also containing 6.85% silver.
Isa Lake Graphite Project
The Isa Lake Graphite Project is distinguished by high-grade metamorphic host rocks and abundant surface-accessible graphite, particularly of the economically valuable coarse grain variety. Recent exploration discovered a new graphite showing with samples containing up to 15.6% coarse graphite, indicating substantial potential reserves. With its high-grade host rocks, coarse graphite presence, and promising exploration results, the Isa Lake Graphite Project is an attractive investment venture.
Newfoundland and Labrador Gem Projects
Newfoundland and Labrador presents a unique gemstone investment opportunity with its Jade and Sapphire occurrences. The easily accessible Newfoundland Jade site, located just 4 km from Raleigh, contains gem-quality jade from pale brown to black and includes rare veins of cat’s eye nephrite and botryoidal jade. The Labrador Sapphire site, just 13 km from Port Hope, features a sapphire zone traced for over 250 m and open on both ends, with large semitranslucent, commercial-grade sapphires stones suitable for jewelry making. The main showing features several parallel bands up to 3-4 m thick with an average of 3-5% bluish sapphire-corundums up to 4 cm long. The Eastern Zone, over 60 m long, averages 5-8% sapphires over an average width of 0.5 m for over 25 m. Large in size, some sapphires exceed 4 cm long by 2.5 cm diameter, equating to 8 to >10 carat rough stones. Preliminary analysis suggests a significant volume of sapphires in bedrock and tills, and heat-treating could produce a variety of colored sapphires or “fancy sapphires”, including ruby.
