About HEG & Associates Exploration Services
HEG & Associates privately owns two properties in southern British Columbia. The southern-most “Nora” property is centered on the Rabbit Mo-Porphyry with additional satellite Cu-Au-Mo porphyry and Au-Ag-Cu vein targets. Exploration since the 1980s has defined a broad zone of molybdenite mineralization with intervals such as 235.5m of 504ppm Mo from surface. Soil sampling and mapping in 2020-2022 has defined a 1.2 x 2km Mo anomaly coincident with strong Qtz veining adjacent to historic drilling. A single, recent deep drill hole intercepted Chalcopyrite at depth.
The more northern claim block makes up the “Golden Zinc” property. This area is prospective for VMS deposits and was first explored in the late 1920s. The most significant deposit in the area, The Elsie-Lucky Coon Massive Sulphide deposit, was mined in the mid-1970s. From 1980-1992 Adams Silver resources carried out geochemical and geophysical surveys with 7,756m of diamond drilling over an 8km strike length. This drilling further extended the Lucky—Coon prospect and discovered the WAD prospect, which lies on the Golden Zinc claims. In 2022, soil sampling on two tightly spaced 1km2 grids was completed to develop potential drilling targets around the WAD prospect.
