About Generic Gold
Generic Gold is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on gold projects in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt in Quebec, Canada and the Tintina Gold Belt in the Yukon Territory of Canada.
The Companyâs Quebec exploration portfolio consists of four contiguous properties covering 12,563 hectares, forming the overall Belvais project, proximal to the town of NormĂ©tal, Amex Explorationâs Perron project and Starr Peak Miningâs NewMĂ©tal project.
The Companyâs Yukon exploration portfolio consists of several projects with a total land position of greater than 35,000 hectares, all of which are 100% owned by Generic Gold. Several of these projects are in close proximity to significant gold projects, including Newmontâs Coffee project, Victoria Goldâs Eagle Gold mine, White Goldâs Golden Saddle project, and Western Copper & Goldâs Casino project.
Belvais Project
Generic Gold holds a 100% interest in the Belvais project, which is made up of four unique claim blocks totalling 12,563 hectares, making the Company one of the largest land holders along the Chicobi belt. The western extent of the property is contiguous with Amex Explorationâs Perron Project and Starr Peak Miningâs NewMĂ©tal Project, which contains the historic NormĂ©tal and Normetmar copper-zinc mines. The eastern extent of the property is adjacent to IAMGOLD and Osisko Metals properties.
Belvais holds over 20km of the significant Normétal fault, which straddles important geological formations host to both gold and VMS deposits, most notably the historic Normétal copper-zinc orebody, which was mined to a depth of 2.4km. Large sections of the Normétal Mine Sequence, the geological formation lying on the northern side of the Normétal fault, remain untested. This formation holds the mentioned historic Normétal mine, as well as recent VMS discoveries by Amex Exploration (QF zone) and Starr Peak Mining (Normetmar deposit). The Company plans to continue testing targets along the horizon as well as multiple other geophysical and geological anomalies across the entirety of the property.
